FENATI NON TROVA LA SCIA, MA MANTIENE UN BUON PASSO GARA

altAragon, 27 settembre 2014.

MOTO3, GRAN PREMIO MOVISTAR DE ARAGÓN: THE STARTING GRID

FIFTH AND EIGHTH ROW FOR THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46 AT THE ARAGÓN CIRCUIT

FENATI FAILS TO FIND THE TOW, BUT STILL KEEPS A GOOD RACE PACE

BAGNAIA CRASHES ON CORNER 2 OF THE FIFTH LAP

Aragón, September 27, 2014. Fifth and eighth row for the Sky Racing Team VR46 at the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón. Romano Fenati completed the qualifying session with a thirteenth-place finish in 1’59.032, while Francesco Bagnaia was forced to interrupt the session out of a heavy fall and clinched the twenty-second spot in 1’59.718.

Good race pace for Romano, despite a few slipping problems on the rear. The team is working at finding solutions that can help him find a better feeling during the race.

Pecco was not able to control the bike upon entering corner 2 and on the fifth lap he fell off. In view of further check-ups, the tests carried out so far pointed out a possible hairline fracture of the left instep. Infiltration injections should still enable him to smoothly run the race.

VR46 Sports Management“The outcome of qualifying does not give credit to Romano’s performance: we have had the very pace of the leading pack, but the latter has clearly implemented a better strategy in the last 7 minutes of the qualifying session. Pecco had found a good setting as well as the right feeling, he set off to a flying start, but  then his desire for redemption led him to lose balance. Tomorrow we expect Romano to finish in the top 5 and Pecco to move forward as far as possible in spite of today’s accident”.

ROMANO FENATI: “Compared to yesterday, I noticed that the bike has improved, in fact, during the qualifying I ran with 2 tenths less. Nonetheless we tried to make adjustments during the session so as to make sure the bike was no longer slipping on the rear. I had trouble finding the tow and when I did it, I ran into traffic and went straight with just 5 minutes to go. I expect a good race anyway, I have a good feeling”.

FRANCESCO BAGNAIA: “We started off very strong, but once we changed the tire I found myself on the ground without me even realizing it. Now we need to examine all the data to reconstruct what happened. My left foot hurts a bit, but with the help of painkillers tomorrow I am supposed to run without problems”.

Tomorrow we will be back on track with the races from all the three Moto GP classes, all live on Sky Sport MotoGP HD (channel 208):

And the MotoGP race will air live on Sky Sport 1 HD as well.
