SECOND AND FOURTH ROW FOR THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46 AT THE SPANISH GP

BAGNAIA SIXTH AT THE END OF THE QUALIFYING SESSION, ROMANO TRAILING IN TENTH POSITION

Jerez de la Frontera, May 3, 2014. Good grid position for the Sky Racing Team VR46 that, at the Grand Prix of Spain, is going to start from the second and fourth row respectively with Francesco Bagnaia and Romano Fenati. During the qualifying session, Pecco did well finishing in sixth place with a time of 1’47 .012. Also Romano Fenati performed well, as after several set-up tests he went on completing the top ten with 1’47 .378. “We spent more than half run carrying out set-up tests – explains team manager Vittoriano Guareschiand we mounted the new tires when there were just thirteen minutes left. I think Romano could not ride a smooth lap in the last quarter of an hour. We hope we have come to a solution because here the problem will be in the long run, there are many laps and the tires are struggling with the heat. Pecco went very well, confirming the performance recorded in Argentina. He is feeling increasingly at ease on the bike, his is the result of good teamwork”.

ROMANO FENATI: “We struggled a little bit during the qualifying session but still we reached a good race pace. Now we need to focus and work on what has not gone well today in order to perform a good race tomorrow”.

FRANCESCO BAGNAIA“It was a good run with a good race pace that will be key to try and stand there in front tomorrow. We did a great job and rode the bike at good performance levels.  Tomorrow we are going to test the front again during the warm-up and then we expect to ride a good race”.
