PABLO NIETO / Team Manager Possiamo ritenerci abbastanza soddisfatti.

Season best for the Sky Racing Team VR46 in the Gp of Spain with Fenati’s 6th place. Migno 21st Romano scoring points for the third time in a row: he leads the way for Italian riders. Migno stuck in traffic, pulls back six positions Season Best for the Sky Racing Team VR46 thanks to Fenati’s 6th place in the Spain GP, first of the Italian riders on the Jerez de la Frontera track. The Italian rider scored points for the third time in a row, after the two eighth-spot finishes in Austin and Argentina, at the end of a frantic race where he had to show great determination to defend the sixth place. After a flying start, in fact, the brawl in the first laps slowed down Romano’s pace who progressively lost ground to the top five thus finding himself leading the chasing group. A position he managed to keep until the very finish (6th in 41’30.587), at the end of an all-Italian enthralling duel with former teammate Francesco Bagnaia (7th). A steadily uphill race for Andrea Migno who got stuck in the traffic of the tail group and failed to break away. Getting away from 27th spot on the grid, the rookie managed to pull back six positions finishing 21st (41’56.084). PHOTOS IN HIGH DEFINITION THE TEAM PABLO NIETO / Team Manager We can be quite satisfied. Since the beginning of the season, we have improved both in terms of results and performance. After the zero-point debut in Qatar, in the last three races we have always scored some points with Fenati and this gives us confidence for the rest of the World Championship. We know there is still a long way to go and we still have to improve. For Migno it was a difficult race, a fight from start to finish. He got stuck in the tail pack and could not break away, but that’s part of the game. ROMANO FENATI / Rider I got off to a flying start and in the first laps I was running with the leading pack. Unfortunately we caused some confusion with passes and then Hanika’s crash made me lose some ground to Vazquez. From then on, I could not catch up with the top five and I had to stay highly focused in order to defend the sixth place for most of the race. With my former teammate Bagnaia there was a thrilling duel to the very last corner, it was really fun. I’m happy because we took one more step forward and in a two weeks’ time we’ll have to follow up on these results. ANDREA MIGNO / Rider It was an uphill race, I had to battle from start to finish. I was hoping to be able to set a faster pace, but the traffic steadily slowed down my pace. Too bad, I was convinced I could get closer to the front group, but I failed to in the beginning and then I had to take the consequences throughout the race. You can only learn from races like this.
