SPLENDIDO PRIMO POSTO AZZURRO CON FENATI: IL GP D’ARGENTINA È DELLO SKY RACING TEAM VR46

_TIN9761Milano, 27 aprile, 2014.

GRAND PRIX OF ARGENTINA: THE MOTO3RACE

WONDERFUL ITALIAN FIRST POSITION WITH FENATI: THE GRAND PRIX OF ARGENTINA GOES TO THE SKY RACING TEAM VR46

SECOND CONSECUTIVE PODIUM FOR THE ITALIAN PILOT, WHO GETS BACK TO WIN AFTER 2 YEARS

Valentino Rossi: “We are very happy, we began to work on this team with Sky just last summer, and everyone did a great job. Romano won a great race, he has already got on the podium two times in a row, now our goal is to be there every Sunday. “

Milan, April 27, 2014. Moto3’s Italy got back to win with Romano Fenati and his Sky Racing Team VR46: wonderful first position in the Grand Prix of Argentina, with the Italian pilot that, after gaining the second row with a brilliant qualification session, exploited his position on the grid and made a stellar race that was really tight for 21 laps. Last time he  had won was in the Grand Prix of Spain on April 29 of two years ago.

In the leading group from the start until the end of the race, Romano never hid, and at every turn he responded to the offensives of Jack Miller and the other three competitors for the first place: Vazquez, Marquez and Loi. They overtook one another five times on the last lap before the finish line, and at the last corner Fenati made a contact with Miller: ” The front tyre bent inward,” said Fenati. “I lost control and the contact was inevitable. I’m really sorry, I know that now he is angry but we will clear everything up soon. The first position is an incredible experience, we’ve done a great job as a team and we have won together.”

At the pit box, watching the race, there was Valentino Rossi, co-founder with Sky of the Sky Racing Team VR46: “We are really satisfied,” said the 9 -time world champion before the award ceremony. “We are very happy because we began to work on this team with Sky just last summer, and everyone did a great job; Rossano Brazzi, Vittoriano Guareschi, and of course Romano Fenati, who did really good. During the race, it is the rider that must put the last 20%, and he has won a great battle. He has already got on the podium two times in a row, now our goal is to be there every Sunday. There is a good atmosphere in the team, the guys are working hard and well. Also Bagnaia is doing a good job, today’s crash was a pity”.

There is a lot of satisfaction also in the words of Vittoriano Guareschi: “Rossano Brazzi made an intelligent choice by giving Romano a bike capable of competing with the others, and Fenati exploited it at its best by doing something more than the other riders fighting for the podium. He put his heart in his performance, like a true champion”. The team manager then clarified what happened to Francesco Bagnaia: “Halfway through the race Pecco got off the track and his bike switched off. We had started with a hard rear tyre and in the warm-up he had a good feeling, but then he had this problem. Too bad, because Pecco immediately proved competitive, he was doing another weekend at the top.”
