Terzo posto per Romano Fenati al GP di Aragona

Il pilota dello Sky Racing Team VR46 torna sul podio al termine di una gara rocambolesca. Secondo miglior risultato stagionale per Andrea Migno, nono dopo la partenza dalla ventesima casella Aragón, 27 settembre 2015.

Gara condizionata dalle cadute ad Aragón, dove Romano Fenati, sempre protagonista nelle primissime posizioni, ottiene il terzo posto dopo l’uscita di scena di Bastianini, Binder e Kent. Il pilota dello Sky Racing Team VR46 ha occupato le posizioni di testa fino all’ultimo giro, quando le tre cadute che hanno coinvolto gli aspiranti alla vittoria, tutte all’ultimo run, hanno messo Romano nella condizione di tornare sul podio. Chiude al nono posto Andrea Migno: decimo al termine della gara, “Mig” ha guadagnato un ulteriore posto nella classifica finale in seguito ad una penalizzazione sanzionata a Ono, che lo precedeva. Dopo essere partito dalla ventesima casella (con la penalizzazione di tre caselle nello schieramento di partenza subita in qualifica), Migno ha scalato rapidamente ben 10 posizioni in classifica, ottenendo il suo secondo miglior risultato stagionale dopo il nono posto di Le Mans.

PABLO NIETO / Team Manager Siamo stati agevolati da un po’ di fortuna. Fare il podio è sempre positivo, sia per il pilota che per la squadra. Adesso ci prepariamo ad affrontare le tre gare oltre Europa con la voglia di conquistare nuovi podi. Anche Migno ha fatto una gara incredibile, guidava con lo stesso ritmo dei primi. Sono convinto che pian piano anche lui potrà rientrare in quel gruppo.

Now we need to get ready for the three upcoming races outside Europe longing for new podium finishes. Also Migno pulled off an incredible race, as his pace was equalling those of the leading pack. I am sure that little by little he will be able to join them in front.

ROMANO FENATI / Pilota E’ stata una gara rocambolesca, il terzo posto di oggi è la dimostrazione che in alcune gare essere il più forte non basta: bisogna avere anche fortuna e testa. Il podio mi mancava, ci darà una spinta in più per affrontare al meglio il terzetto extraeuropeo che ci aspetta. La squadra ha lavorato bene e con la moto ho un buonissimo feeling. Anche il nuovo telaio ci sta aiutando molto ad affrontare nel migliore dei modi la parte finale delle gare.

ROMANO FENATI / Rider It was an enthralling race, today’s third place proves that in some races being the strongest rider is not enough: you also need some luck and to stay focused and keep your head. I had been missing the podium so much, so that’s will be an extra motivation ahead of the three upcoming extra-European races. The team did a great job and I got an excellent feeling with the bike. Also the new chassis is helping us get into the final laps in the best possible conditions.

ANDREA MIGNO / Pilota È stata una buona gara, c’erano tutte le condizioni per fare bene. La qualifica, però, resta sempre un fattore determinante: parto ancora troppo lontano e non sono ancora così veloce da riuscire a recuperare tante posizioni in poco tempo rispetto ai primi. Per stare con loro, dovrò lavorare per partire più avanti in griglia. I presupposti per migliorare ancora ci sono e la squadra mi sta dando il massimo del supporto per riuscire nei nostri obiettivi.

ANDREA MIGNO / Rider It was a good race, all the necessary conditions to do well were there. Qualifying, though, is still a decisive factor: I am still struggling at the back of the grid and I am not that fast yet to be able to pull back so many positions in a short time compared to the leading pack. To stay in the mix, I will have to work harder in order to qualify higher up on the grid. There is still room for improvement and the team is being very supportive in trying to achieve our goals.

The Motorland Aragón hosted a crash-affected race where Romano Fenati, always joining the party in front, secured third place after rivals Bastianini, Binder and Kent crashed out on the last lap. The Italian rider on the Sky Racing Team VR46 stayed in the chase until the very last lap, when the three crashes involving the riders fighting for the Moto3™ title, all on the last lap, allowed Romano to step back on the podium. A ninth place finish for Andrea Migno: after crossing the line in tenth, “Mig” climbed up one more position in the standings as Ono, who was ahead of him, got a penalty point punishment. After getting away from 20th on the grid (as he was docked three grid positions in qualifying), Migno pulled back 10 positions thus clinching his best second result of the season after ninth place at Le Mans.
