FENATI STUDIA LA PISTA IN ATTESA DELL’ESAME QUALIFIC HE

Sachsenring (Germania) 11 luglio 2014. Nel primo giorno di prove libere sul circuito tedesco del Sachsernring, lo Sky Racing Team VR46 si perfeziona e “prende le misure” del tracciato in vista dell’appuntamento con le qualifiche. Piccoli test di assetto e di feeling con la moto sia per Romano Fenati (decimo nella classifica combinata con il tempo di 1’28’’211) che per Francesco Bagnaia (trentunesimo con il tempo di 1’29’’825), quest’ultimo alle prese con la prima prova in pista dopo la frattura al polso rimediata in Olanda.

“Per quanto riguarda Romano, bene nella prima sessione di prove libere – spiega il team manager Vittoriano Guareschi –, anche se è mancato il giusto feeling con l’avantreno. Abbiamo provato a fare delle modifiche e contiamo di arrivare alla soluzione già domani in vista delle qualifiche. L’obiettivo è far sì che Romano riesca a riconquistare il feeling che ha sempre avuto sul davanti. Questa è una pista che piace sia a Romano che a Pecco, ma è anche un tracciato su cui la moto deve essere messa a punto alla perfezione, altrimenti è difficile fare la differenza.

Pecco, invece, oggi ha girato cercando di resistere al dolore. La clinica mobile sta lavorando ogni giorno per metterlo nelle migliori condizioni affinché possa correre con il minimo fastidio e domani tornerà in pista con un tutore”.

ROMANO FENATI: “Oggi abbiamo riscontrato dei problemi sull’anteriore, ma stiamo lavorando sodo per trovare la giusta soluzione e contiamo di arrivarci al più presto. Questa è una pista che mi piace molto e, non appena la moto sarà in condizioni ottimali spingerò come sempre al massimo per ottenere il risultato”.

FRANCESCO BAGNAIA: “Nel momento in cui ho iniziato a correre oggi ho capito che il polso non è ancora al 100%. Abbiamo provato a fare un’infiltrazione per il secondo turno di prove libere, ma non è bastata. Sento ancora del dolore quando faccio forza sul braccio sinistro, per questo stiamo cercando una soluzione”.

Sachsenring (Germany), July 11, 2014. During the first day of free practice at the German circuit of Sachsernring, the Sky Racing Team VR46 fine-tunes and “takes the measures” of the track in light of tomorrow’s qualifiers. Both Romano Fenati (10^th in the combined timesheets with  1’28’’211) and Francesco Bagnaia (31^st with 1’29’’825) did some little tests to prove the balance and the feeling with their bikes. For Bagnaia, this was his first test on the track after breaking his wrist in the Netherlands.

“Romano did good in the first free practice session, – explains the team manager Vittoriano Guareschi – even if  he didn’t find the right feeling with the front axle. We tried to make some adjustments and we hope to find a solution for tomorrow’s qualifiers. We would like  Romano to regain the feeling that he has always had with the front of his bike. This is a track that both Romano and Pecco like, but it is also a circuit on which the bike must be fine-tuned to perfection, otherwise it is difficult to make the difference.

As for Pecco, today he raced trying to resist the pain. The mobile clinic is working every day to put him in the best conditions so that he will be able to race without feeling too much pain, and tomorrow he will be back on track with a brace.”

ROMANO FENATI: “Today we faced some problems on the front wheel, but we are working hard to find the best solution and we hope to get there soon. I really like this track and as soon as the bike is in its best conditions, I will push hard as usual  to get a good result.”

FRANCESCO BAGNAIA: “As soon as I started racing today, I realized that the wrist is not 100% healed yet. We tried to make an injection for the second free practice session, but it was not enough. I still feel pain when I force my left arm, so we are looking for a solution.”

Tomorrow the riders will be back on track for the final practice session and the Moto3 qualifying, all in live exclusive on Sky Sport MotoGP (Channel 208).
